Run your own Planbook

Planbook is free for everyone, and the code is open (AGPL-3.0). If you'd rather keep everything on your own server, one command starts the web app, API, background jobs, live page editing, PostgreSQL, Redis and a local mailbox.

1. Install Docker, then clone the repository.
2. Set a secret: export AUTH_SECRET=$(openssl rand -hex 32)
3. Run docker compose -f infra/compose/docker-compose.yml up -d and open http://localhost:3000.

Sign-in codes land in the bundled Mailpit inbox at http://localhost:8025. For real email, set MAIL_DRIVER=resend (with RESEND_API_KEY) or smtp. For work sign-in, add a Microsoft Entra app and set MICROSOFT_CLIENT_ID and MICROSOFT_CLIENT_SECRET.
